Carrier Library Tour
WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 7, Begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. We suggest you plan to arrive at the Mason St. Parking Deck no later than 10:15 a.m. in order to start the tour on time.
WHERE: Carrier Library, Grace St. entrance (opposite the Student Success Center), on the south side of Grace St. Look for the entrance labeled with the signage “Stan and Rosemary Jones Wing.”
PARKING: Mason St. Parking Deck. To enter the deck, take Martin Luther King Ave and turn south from MLK Ave. onto Mason St., and then take an immediate right into the parking deck. You may only enter the parking deck southbound on Mason St.
Parking spaces for those with a virtual JMU emeritus parking permit will be found on the upper floors of the parking garage labeled “Faculty/Staff Parking.” DO NOT park in spaces designated for Hotel Madison. Should you need to park on the uppermost floor, labeled “Commuter Parking Begins Here,” you may do so as this event is being held while JMU students are on fall break.
FROM THE PARKING DECK TO CARRIER LIBRARY: After parking, proceed to the southeast corner of the deck to take the elevator to the ground floor (Mason St).
NOTE: If your vehicle is NOT registered with JMU Parking Services, you will need to do so before using the Mason St. Parking Deck. The process is easy and can be done from home using email. For details, contact Parking Services at parkingservices@jmu.edu or 540-586-3300.
