April is designated as National Stress Awareness Month, and the CFI is pleased to host the inaugural Faculty Well-being Weeks. From April 6 to 17, this exciting collaborative effort provides all faculty with opportunities to focus on various components of well-being.

Tuesday - April 14, 2026 & Wednesday - April 15, 2026
(Tuesday, April 14) Part 1: Faculty and staff are invited to participate in the "Anxiety Toolbox," one of the quickest ways to access evidence-based strategies and interventions to reduce anxiety symptoms. This series consists of 50-minute structured workshops that you can attend in any order.
Part 1 assists with understanding your anxiety, introduces controlled breathing for slowing down and disrupting the experience of anxiety, and provides information to assist with healthy sleep.
(Wednesday, April 15) Part 2: Faculty and staff are invited to participate in the "Anxiety Toolbox," one of the quickest ways to access evidence-based strategies and interventions to reduce anxiety symptoms. This series consists of 50-minute structured workshops that you can attend in any order.
Part 2 assists with understanding the situations and thoughts that can increase and maintain your anxiety and provides an opportunity to practice a useful relaxation technique and reduce tension.

- Identifying the difference between stress and anxiety and explaining the impacts of stress and anxiety on the body
- Investigating situations and thoughts that cause and maintain anxiety
- Implementing ways to slow down and disrupt the experience of anxiety
- Applying relaxation techniques to reduce tension
- Creating a personalized action plan for coping strategies
