Join this interactive talk on A(rtificial) I(ntelligence) in the academic institution.
Academic institutions are currently navigating and responding to the advent of AI, writing policies, and imposing regulations. However, what AI means can vary widely in different domains and organizational levels, and so do the resources, investments, and skill sets required to employ AI or implement a successful data and AI strategy. Correspondingly, there are multiple ways to navigate the AI frontiers in different divisions and at various levels of an academic institution.
- What does all of this mean for us?
- How can we respond, adapt, advance, and shape AI strategy and culture in the academy?
In this interactive session, we visit several layers in which AI interacts with, contributes to, and concerns our work, distinguishing between them without isolating the various considerations from each other. You will gain an understanding of AI as it relates to you as an individual in a big institution, and in turn you will contribute your domain knowledge and expertise to enhance AI at the institution.
