Once you have enrolled for your course, here are some things you may want to know about:

JAC Card |
If you are attending courses on the JMU Campus and intend to use the facilities such as the University Recreational Education Center (UREC), computer labs or the Library, you will need to obtain your JMU ID card (also known as a JAC card). The JAC card identifies you as a student member of the university community and has your picture and student ID number printed on it.
To obtain a JAC card, go to Card Services on the third floor of Warren Hall in the University Center. They are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Your first card is free, but there is a charge for replacements. |

Parking at JMU |
Obtaining a parking permit at JMU is essential if you plan to drive to campus. Parking regulations are strictly enforced 24 hours a day and tickets can be expensive. Parking permits can be ordered online through the parking services web site, or purchased from the parking services office on the ground floor of the parking garage near the stadium. Refer to the parking services web site for current permit costs.

JMU e-mail |
You will be assigned a JMU e-mail address for your use while a student at JMU. Your e-mail address will be your e-ID@jmu.edu and your password will be the same as your e-ID password which you will set when you activate your computing account. |

Textbooks
|
Course text books can be purchased through the JMU bookstore either online or on campus. The contact number for the bookstore is 540-568-3995. University Outpost, a store on Port Republic Rd., sells used textbooks.
