Job Description:

The Social / Digital Media Specialist will implement Folletts social media strategy on a local and regional level by developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging product adoption.  He/she listens to the conversation at the local level, engages directly with ththe community when appropriate, monitors negative comments, and determines the best method of response and routes to the Marketing Specialist.  The position also stays current on emerging social media trends and best practices. 


- In depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios.

- Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships.

- Advanced skills in multimedia creation/production to be used as an enhancement of social media interaction are required.

- Intermediate skills with digital layout/design creation using products as Adobe Design Suite are needed.

- Understands social media language/internet jargon (e.g., lol, omg, imo)

- Ability to keep up on trends and new innovations

- Knowledge of social networking and monitoring tools for utilizations of metrics and benchmarks  to measure effectiveness

-Significant product knowledge (including competitors) in order to recommend positioning of social media

- Customer service, public relations, marketing, sales, community management experience, a plus.

Pay Rate:  TBD

Hours per week:  up to 30
