Scholarship Overview
An endowed scholarship established with a gift by Major General and Mrs. Joseph L. Yakovac in memory of Sara C. Yakovac. It is intended that this scholarship will benefit a JMU Student who merits the following criteria: Outstanding academic achievement, coupled with leadership and/or active participation to the maximum of his/her ability, within the Economics Program, other University related activities, or community services during college tenure. This scholarship is intended for sophomores, juniors, or seniors. If at any time the student recipient fails to meet the requirements or when the student graduates, a new student will be selected based on the established criteria. The scholarship recipient will be selected by the JMU Faculty of the Economics Program within the College of Business. If James Madison University does not enroll any student meeting the above criteria, this Fund may be used to assist any JMU student.
