To apply for either scholarship, write a letter to the Honors Program director stating why you need money and the amount you need. Include a budget for what you will use the money. There is no deadline for application, although most scholarships are given at the end of the semester to be used the following semester.

Additional Information: For employees (and dependents of employees) of any hotel/motel that is a member of the American Hotel Foundation. Must be working at least 20 hours per week, must have worked at least one year in the hotel business. EVALUATION AND SELECTION OF FELLOWS
Successful Mellon candidates are those who demonstrate academic excellence, multifaceted interests, liveliness of mind and spirit, excellent communicative skills, and the desire and potential to become first class teachers and scholars in the humanities. In addition to college transcripts, GRE scores, and recommendations by faculty members, the candidate's statement of intellectual interests and aspirations, and if selected, the personal interview, are critical in determining awardees.
Written applications are subject to a preliminary screening by the appropriate regional commitee. Roughly half as many applicants as the number of available awards are invited for personal interviews, which take place in March. Following interviews, the regional committees recommend finalists to the Final Selection Committee, which determines the winners.

Opportunities for Women in Broadcasting Program
Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program--The National Science Foundation makes possible a number of opportunities for undergraduates to join research projects each summer. This allows students to experience first-hand how basic research is carried out, and to contribute consequentially. The principal support by NSF of such activities is through the Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program.
REU "Sites" are established in all fields of science, mathematics, and engineering. Each Site consists of a group of ten or so undergraduates, who work in the research programs of the host institution. Students are in general accepted from throughout the country. Each student is assigned to a specific research project, where he/she works closely with the faculty, post-docs, and graduate students. In addition, seminars, lunch meetings, and social functions are organized to facilitate interaction between the undergraduates.
Students are granted stipends, and in some cases assistance with housing and travel. Students who are in those groups traditionally under-represented in science (women, members of under-represented minorities, and those with disabilities) are particularly urged to apply. Students with special personal needs or requirements, or who can attend a Site only under special conditions, are also encouraged to apply, and to discuss this with Site Directors in advance of the application dates.
Roger Williams University School of Law Scholarship: students who attend law school at the Roger Williams School of Law in Rhode Island. Students with LSAT scores of at least 160 and GPAs of at least 3.25 are eligible for 50% tuition scholarship ($28,575), and students with LSATs of at least 170 and GPAs of at least 3.5 are eligible for 100% tuition ($57,150).
