After a thirty-four year career, the last twenty-five being with a high risk Ob/Gyn office, Katy followed her husband to James Madison University. The transition to solely working with college students has been a great pleasure. College health is a unique challenge and Katy is enjoying working with the students to educate and assist them in understanding their reproductive health.

Katy is very interested in International Health Care and Health Care in the U.S. for low income families. She worked in inner city health centers in and around the capital region of New York State and now volunteers at the Harrisonburg Free Clinic. Katy and her husband were Peace Corps Volunteers in Botswana, Africa and she has worked with the United Nations Population Fund in the Philippines.

Katy and her husband love raising their son, now a senior in college in Upstate New York. Katy is also an avid reader and enjoys day hikes and swimming.
