Quantitative Finance major

The Quantitative Finance program leading to a BS degree is highly quantitative and computer intensive. It gives students the opportunity to acquire skills in a number of mathematical disciplines, and to apply those skills toward the solution of advanced problems in the field of finance. Derivatives markets generally, and the field of asset securitization in particular have grown in volume at an exponential pace in recent years, driving demand for employees that understand these products. The quantitative finance program contains the courses necessary to instill the statistical, mathematical and programming skills that help create such an employee. The career paths for quantiative finance majors include financial engineering, quantitative analysis, risk management and analysis, and security analysis.
