Goldman Sachs will be presenting "Wall Street 101", which is an overview of investment banking and Wall Street. This presentation is open to all students. Business attire recommended.
The Department of Finance and Business Law is sponsoring an Finance Internship Night. The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for students to share their experiences from Summer 2009 internships. A panel of students who interned at firms including Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley and Dominion Resources will share their experiences and answer questions from students who are considering internships for the Summer of 2009.
Over one hundred recruiters will be on hand to talk to students looking for internship and full-time opportunities. Students seeking internships for Summer 2009 and students graduating December 2008, May 2009, or Summer 2009 are encouraged to attend. The Career Fair is held from Noon until 4 p.m., at the Festival. Professional dress strongly encouraged.
Come prepared to meet accounting and consulting firms from 6-8 p.m. at the Festival. There will be many internship and full-time opportunities available for finance and quantitative finance students. Professional dress strongly encouraged.
There will be up to five scholarships available for the December 2008 CFA Level I exam. Students who are interested in the exam and who plan to graduate in December 2008 are eligible. It is preferred, though not required, that students have either completed or are enrolled in the following courses by Fall of 2008: FIN362, FIN371, and FIN380. Students interested in a scholarship must provide a resume and cover letter to Professor Pamela Drake or Professor Brooks Marshall by September 15, 2008.
All students are welcome to join us for a panel session of financial professionals, with a reception following. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions of the panelists.
