When did Handshake replace Recruit-A-Duke?

On May 2, Handshake replaced Recruit-A-Duke (RAD) as the new platform for JMU students’ job and internship search. RAD will be discontinued on June 30th.

Action may be required if you used RAD
Students/Alumni

If you have used RAD for your job or internship search, make sure to download any of your resumes, cover letters, or position descriptions for jobs/internships immediately.

Faculty

If you use RAD now for classroom assignments, Career Fairs, or special events, you will need to download or copy any information that you currently have stored in RAD before our account is deactivated. This would includes mock job postings that you may have created for class assignments.

Employers

If you recruit with JMU already, you should have received an invite to join Handshake in late March. You should re-post any open positions that you currently have in RAD to Handshake. For more information on the Handshake platform, visit our Post Jobs and Internships page.

Learn More
