Story Time Chess

About Story Time Chess
For the past eleven years, Story Time Chess has worked in schools and homes all over the world telling stories that transform chess pieces into a memorable cast of quirky characters that help children as young as three years old learn and love the game of chess. Every Story Time Chess lesson has a fun, interactive story that introduces not only piece movement and strategy, but important themes that go far beyond chess. Story Time Chess students learn about sportsmanship, grit, and math, all through stories.
Why Chess?
Research shows playing chess significantly improves children’s visual memory, attention span, spatial-reasoning ability, problem-solving, patience, and follow-through and also appears to improve verbal skills by exercising functions of the brain related to language.
