WRTC Colleagues Provide Writing Workshops for City of Harrisonburg Firefighters

WRTC colleagues Cindy Allen and Kristin Knapp facilitated six writing workshops for Harrisonburg firefighters over the summer. After attending a writing presentation at the National Fire Academy in Colorado, Deputy Fire Chief Mike Brady requested workshops for all city firefighters. Cindy and Kristin worked with the Harrisonburg Fire Department Training Director, Steve Morris, to design workshops that would address the specific needs of the Harrisonburg Fire Department, including techniques for writing effective incident reports and an introduction to APA style.
