8/31/21 JACard to be deactivated due to missing information

Dear JMU Student, 

This is to follow up on the emails sent on May 27 and Aug. 9 regarding the COVID-19 vaccine requirement. As of today our records show you have not submitted a record of having received the full COVID-19 vaccine or the Student Assumption of Risk Waiver. It is required that all students provide this information.

If your information is not submitted by this Friday, Sept. 3 your JACard will be deactivated on Monday, Sept. 6. It will be reactivated when we receive  your information but it may take up to two business days to process.

If you have been fully vaccinated:
Please electronically upload your documentation of receiving the vaccine.

If you have NOT been fully vaccinated:
Please submit the Student Assumption of Risk Waiver and read the following information carefully as it details the process for fall semester. More information can be found at the testing links.

Regular Screening Testing

  • Regular screening testing will be required weekly for students who are not vaccinated for COVID-19.
  • You will receive an email each Friday with information on how to sign up for the following week’s testing.
  • Check the Student Testing FAQs for additional information.
