Learn How to Take Charge with JMU’s Presidential Leadership Academy

Student Life

Creating an impact on campus is no easy task, but those who succeed do not go unrecognized. Each year, JMU hosts the Presidential Leadership Academy, a week-long seminar that allows students who have shown their leadership potential to further develop their skills in a welcoming and collaborative environment. All presidents of student organizations are invited to attend!

PLA High Ropes Course

This year’s event will be held from May 5 to May 10. Throughout the week, attending students are primarily situated in an off-campus location, Camp Horizons’ Valley Pike, where attendees will be provided with meals and housing.

The various team-building activities that are held throughout the week will challenge and engage all attendees of the academy. Because of the busy schedule, it is required that students have no other responsibilities during this week. If you’re hoping to further your leadership ability, you can’t miss out on this incredible opportunity!
