Consider alternative transportation and parking options:

Parking Services encourages all students to consider a variety of transportation options to reduce the number of single occupancy vehicles on campus. Carpool permits are available to groups of three students, cutting the cost of a permit by 2/3 for each student. Remote parking is available in R10 Lot at 1/3 of the cost of a regular commuter permit, with Harrisonburg Public Transit buses available nearby to the Godwin Transit Center and other campus destinations. Transit buses are also available at all major student apartment complexes and throughout the city of Harrisonburg, and are available at no charge to JMU students. Visit www.jmu.edu/transportation for more information about campus transportation options.
