Calling all Administrative Experts! 

The 2026 Administrative Professionals Conference at James Madison University is now accepting proposals! We invite administrative professionals and leaders to share their knowledge and experience to support administrators at all career stages and across all industries.  

This year’s theme, “The Power of Our Profession” celebrates the skills, leadership, and impact of administrative professionals everywhere. 

We are seeking workshop proposals that support the professional growth of administrative staff. We are especially interested in sessions that focus on one or more of the areas below: 

  • Admin Tech – Tools, skills, and innovations that streamline workflow 
  • Managing Up – Ways to build strong and effective partnerships with leaders 
  • The 360 Leader – Building leadership skills at every level 
  • Admin Networking (Inner Circle) – Building community and support networks 
  • Change Management – Leading and adapting during times of change 

Proposal Deadline: May 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM 

Proposal Session Length: 50 minutes or 75 minutes 

Proposal must include: 

  • A proposed session title 
  • A session summary, including purpose, outcomes, and activities 
  • A brief explanation of how the session supports the conference theme and focus areas 
  • The names and titles of all facilitators (and panel speakers if applicable)
