Recruit students for K-12th grade summer camp positions

Greetings from JMU’s Youth Programs! We have lots of great programming on the horizon, and we'd like to give students the opportunity to join us in serving our local community through paid instructor and counselor positions!

 

These positions will help students gain experience working with children and build real-world leadership and problem-solving skills in a hands-on environment. They'll gain experience managing groups, mentoring young campers, resolving conflicts, and adapting quickly to new situations—qualities that translate directly to future careers! 

 

College for Kids:

We are currently looking for JMU student instructors to teach exciting, educational courses for our upcoming summer College for Kids program. This program provides enriching, educational, and fun experiences for rising K - 8th grade students! This year’s summer College for Kids is scheduled for June 8 - 12. The instructor pay is $16/hour (with a higher pay rate for those who are CPR certified or have experience working with youth with disabilities). Science Explorers Camps:

We are also looking for camp counselors to work one or more of our science camps in July. The counselor pay is $15.50/hour (with a higher pay rate for those who are CPR certified or have experience working with youth with disabilities).
