Spring 2026 introduction from Title IX and OEO
NoticesWelcome back to campus for the 2026 Spring semester. As the year begins, the office of Access, Compliance and Engagement would like to introduce you to our offices and the resources that are available to members of the JMU community.
Title IX
The Title IX Office provides support and resources for anyone in the JMU community who has experienced dating or domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, sexual harassment, stalking, non-consensual relationships, or other forms of discrimination on . The Title IX Office also offers support for students experiencing pregnancy or related conditions.
All JMU employees are required to notify the Title IX Office of any incidents of sexual misconduct that they learn about in the course of their paid duties, unless the employee has been designated as a confidential resource.

The OEO is responsible for furthering the university's commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for the JMU community, as well as investigating complaints of discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
