JMU Chapter of the National Student Nurses Association

James Madison University’s Nursing Student Association is a chapter of the National Student Nurses' Association, Inc. (NSNA). National and state conferences are held annually to bring nursing students together to examine advocacy issues related the nursing field. This organization links to the American Nurses Association and brings students together prior to becoming graduate nurses. The NSA enhances student professional development and the importance of civic engagement. JMU’s chapter has been very active at the local, state and national levels and has consistently won many state awards for its community service and chapter excellence.
