Flu Shot Clinics on campus

News

Getting a flu vaccine is more important than ever during 2020-2021 to protect yourself, your family and your community from flu. A flu vaccine this season can also help reduce the burden on our healthcare systems responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and save medical resources for care of COVID-19 patients.

As a convenience for JMU students, employees, their families (age 18 and up) and emeriti, the University Health Center is partnering with LabCorp Employer Services to provide flu shots on the following dates:

Friday, October 2, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Student Success Center Room 1075

Monday, October 5, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Festival Highlands Room

Monday, October 12, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. in The Union, Taylor 306 (for those with insurance listed below, no out of pocket payment is available on this day).

Thursday, October 15, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. in The Union, Taylor 306

No appointment is needed.  You are required to wear a mask in the clinic; stations will be spread out for proper distancing. Everyone is reminded to stay at least 6 feet apart while waiting to receive their flu shot.

The vaccine this year is the quadrivalent flu vaccine which is designed to protect against four different strains of flu viruses.  For more facts visit https://www.cdc.gov/flu/prevent/keyfacts.htm

Insurance is accepted or the out of pocket cost is $30 (credit cards only - no flex, cash or debit - not available on October 12).
