SRM lecturer launches podcast

Angela Hayslett, a sport and recreation management lecturer at the Hart School for Hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management is the host of The Sports Playbook, a bimonthly podcast produced by ThinkTech Hawaii. Hayslett interviews expert guests from the sports industry to discuss challenges and creative solutions to ensure that sports will endure for the benefit of future generations.
Episode one, "Winning in Division I Women's Basketball: The Challenges of Success," features Kelly Graves, head coach of women’s basketball for the University of Oregon. Coach Graves discusses the secrets of success, Title IX and gender equity, COVID-19 and mental health.
Episode two, "The Post Season: Preparing Student-Athletes for Life After College," features Meredith Crawford, assistant athletic director for Student Athlete Leadership Development at James Madison University. Crawford talks about the programs implemented to support student-athlete leadership and prepare them for life after college.
Through The Sports Playbook, Hayslett discovers how sports industry professionals and JMU alumni are making the sports world a success.
