JMU graduate student thinks outside the box for preschool education
NewsSUMMARY: A preschool program like no other in the area uses the outdoors as a classroom, teaching children about nature and also about skills they will use the rest of their lives.
Stevie Lee, a sports and recreation leadership graduate student, created an outdoor preschool program in Harrisonburg. After years of research, Lee developed a program to encourage children to explore nature in ways they otherwise may not get to experience.
