Honest Engine: Scary smart and admirably vulnerable

Honest Engine (2015) by Kyle Dargan

In his fourth poetry collection due out April 1, 2015, award-winning writer Kyle Dargan tinkers with the mechanics of the heart and mind as they are weathered by mortality and loss. Local, global, and even interstellar in their scope, these poems do not purport to possess life's answers nor seek to employ language to mask what they do not know. Dargan confesses as a means of reaching out to the nomadic human soul and inviting it to accompany him on a walk toward a fascinating unknown.

Dargan was the featured poet at his reading with JMU’s Furious Flower in the fall of 2013.

“Honest Engine wrestles with the question of human significance. What do our choices matter in the face of eternity or plain old enmity? How does a person find dignity, or love, in a world that works so damn hard to deny him both? Scary smart and admirably vulnerable, this book is a treasure.”
