When asked about his goals, he says, “My first goal is to spend time with each faculty member, hear their ideas, and build consensus on the direction for the department.”

Dean Mary Gowan says, ““We are pleased to welcome Dr. Andy Wood to the College of Business. His experience and expertise as an academic and practitioner in the area of professional sales provide just the right background for the new leader of the JMU Department of Marketing. We are excited to see the great things that will be coming out of the department under his leadership.”

Wood and his wife, Carrie, have two daughters, Samantha, 18, and Melissa, 17.
