(EURACTIV) Bulgaria, Romania, and Turkey, NATO members, have extended invitations to other nations to join the forthcoming Black Sea demining operation. This collaborative effort aims to eliminate mines in the sea, ensuring the safety of maritime routes.

Bulgaria's Defence Ministry informed Euractiv Bulgaria that the initiative welcomes joint actions and the involvement of mine countermeasure forces and assets from NATO member countries beyond the Black Sea region.
