Over 5 Million Square Meters Cleared of Landmines in Kurdistan

(Rudaw) The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Mine Action Agency said that a total of 5,038,629 square meters had been de-mined across the Region’s four provinces over the past four years. The agency cleared over two million square meters in 2019, around 250 thousand square meters in 2020, about 700 thousand square meters in 2021, and more than two million square meters in 2022.
