Myanmar-Laid Landmines Injuring Bangladeshis Crossing Border

(Big News Network) DHAKA, Bangladesh - A second Bangladeshi man got seriously injured in less than three weeks due to a landmine explosion near the Myanmar border along Naikhongchhari in Bandarban.

Abdul Kader, 27, was identified as a resident of Chherakum area in Dochhari union under the upazila. According to Md Imran, chairman of the Union Parishad, several organs of his body, including his eyes, were also damaged in the explosion.

Kader crossed the border to bring back his cows around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, and he stepped on the mine, according to Mohammad Hossain, who brought him to the hospital.
