CMAA signs MOU with US demining NGO

(Khmer Times) Cambodia Mine Action and Victims Assistance Authority (CMAA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a US-based NGO to broaden partnership and cooperation on landmine clearance.

The signing was held between CMAA Secretary-General  Prum Sophakmonkul and Shathel Fahs, representative of Platinum East Humanitarian Organization,  an expert demining organisation, yesterday at the CMAA headquarters in Phnom Penh.

CMAA first vice-president Ly Thuch said the MoU could bring Cambodia closer to the goal of becoming a mine-free country by 2025.
