Civil Police officer killed by a blast of a landmine of unknown origin in Aleppo suburbs on Aug. 8

SUMMARY: Yasin al Refa’i, a lieutenant with the Civil Police who was displaced from Jobar neighborhood in Damascus city, was killed when a landmine of unknown origin exploded in the area nearby the car he was in near al Basouta village, which is administratively a part of Afrin city in the northern suburbs of Aleppo governorate, on August 8, 2020. SNHR is still trying to contact witnesses to obtain more details of the incident.
