We are doing a cohort hire for faculty to begin in Fall 2022.

We are looking to hire both renewable lecturer and tenure track positions (review beings October 4). The area of chemistry is open and the application process is anonymous. Non-anonymous information will be administratively separated before documents are seen by the search committee.

We are committed to hiring faculty who will help increase the success of our students, increase the diversity of our faculty and students, and create and sustain a more inclusive work and learning environment. We want to hire faculty who are committed to excellence in undergraduate education, to active undergraduate research labs, and to mentoring students.

For the renewable lecturer positions, an M.S. in Chemistry with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework or a
Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field is required. Teaching responsibilities include introductory and lower division
courses and laboratories. Lecturers have service and research expectations in addition to their primary teaching load. Apply here.

For the tenure-track positions, a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field and a postdoctoral appointment or
equivalent experience are required. Teaching responsibilities include introductory and upper division courses and laboratories. Establishing an externally funded undergraduate research program is expected. Successful
candidates will mentor undergraduates in research during the academic year and summer. Apply here.

For the initial review, you will need to complete an application and attach a cover letter and curriculum vitae.
The cover letter must indicate the type of position sought (lecturer or tenure-track), address your qualifications for the position, and include examples of your commitment to contributing to an equitable and inclusive environment. If you are applying for the lecturer position you should briefly describe your potential to teach
undergraduates primarily in lower division chemistry classes and laboratories. If you are applying for the tenure track position you should briefly describe your research interests and the role that undergraduates will play. Cover letters should be 3 pages or less. You will be asked to submit the names of three references. References will not be contacted until later in the review process. Review of application begins October 4.

After initial review, selected candidates will be asked to submit a detailed teaching and diversity statement.
Tenure track candidates will also submit a research statement.
