Student Exhibition Offers Insight into Industrial Design Process
Joint reception Nov. 3 with New Image Gallery

ID@ArtWorks
Nov. 3 -Dec. 4
Opening Nov. 3, 5-7 p.m.
ArtWorks Gallery presents ID@ArtWorks, its first exhibition focused on industrial design work, allowing students to showcase their entire creative process from sketches and prints to models and large installation pieces.
ID@ArtWorks highlights the fine-art side of a more commercial field in which students learn to mix practical functionality and design with finely tuned presentation of a gallery setting.
The opening reception on Nov. 3, 5-7 p.m., will be at the same time and place as the artists reception at New Image Gallery, with Remnants; the spaces between artists Cass Rinsler and Talia Tamar in attendance. Remnants is the second part of an exhibition by Rinsler that began in September; featuring an installation and performance. Both receptions will be open to the public and offer food and drink.
ID@ArtWorks will be open during the Industrial Design Society of America conference, Beyond the Box, hosted by JMU’s School of Art, Design and Art History, Nov. 12-13.
A virtual tour of the exhibition will be posted on the ArtWorks site at https://artworksgallery.wixsite.com/artworksgallery.
