JMU among nation’s best for producing leaders
JMU HeadlinesJames Madison University was just named to TIME magazine’s new “Best Colleges for Future Leaders” ranking conducted with Statista. Only 100 U.S. colleges and universities were included in the ranking, and just three schools in Virginia made the list.
According to the methodology, “TIME and Statista analyzed the resumés of 2,000 top leaders in the U.S. — politicians, CEOs, union leaders, Nobel winners and more, across sectors — to assemble a list of the universities and colleges where they received their degrees.”
The list is dominated by Ivy League schools with top business and law programs, state flagships and large research universities.
President Jonathan R. Alger said of the new ranking, “A hallmark at JMU has always been our keen focus on measurable student outcomes. The fact that this new ranking found JMU alumni to be among the nation’s top leaders across sectors provides solid evidence that our focus on results is paying dividends for our graduates and for society.”
