Voicing the Constitution
Nation and WorldMatt Darroch (’15M), a 2017-18 Engagement Fellow, managed a series of educational podcasts at Montpelier that revolved around the Constitution and civic engagement.
“I really wanted to work at a job where I felt like I was making a meaningful impact on the community,” he says.
Engagement Fellows at James Madison University participate in one of eight post-graduate service opportunities designed to promote and foster engaged learning, community engagement and civic engagement on and around campus.
Darroch believes a more informed citizenry leads to better dialogue and, in turn, a healthier democracy.
"My work has gone, day in and day out, toward inspiring deeper civic engagement," he says.
