Every 10 Minutes

JMU News

Riding the JMU inner-campus shuttles is easy, timely, convenient and free. In fact, no matter what bus stop is closest to your office or your destination, a bus will arrive there about every 10 minutes. Still unsure about riding the bus? Why not give it a try on the first faculty/staff Ride the Bus Day on Thursday, Aug. 25.

The three inner-campus shuttles and the Convo Express will be running their regular routes from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. to give faculty and staff a chance to familiarize themselves with the routes and the routine of catching the bus to get around campus. Volunteers from the Institute for Stewardship of the Natural World will be available at the bus stops to answer questions and to provide assistance. Ride the Bus Day will provide an opportunity to get comfortable with the bus system before the students arrive.

With the addition of a third inner-campus shuttle this year, a rider's wait will be about10 minutes at any stop and often will be less. That means with a little planning, bus riders can get to just about any place on campus in about the time it takes to change classes.
