Invisible Children's very visible van is stopping at James Madison University this week. Representatives from IC, called Roadies, are currently traveling around the country on The Congo Tour. They are young, energetic people, here to share their passion for ending war in the Congo.

The IC organization describes the Roadies as "the most determined pioneers of this generation seeking to end a reign of terror 10,000 miles away."

As a part of the Congo Tour, the Roadies will introduce IC's newest documentary film, "Tony," March 29, at 7:30 p.m., in the Convocation Center. Invisible Children is expanding its efforts from Uganda to the Congo and this film documents efforts to rescue and educate children and rebuild in central-eastern Africa.

Starting in 2003, the film follows Tony Bazilo through the present. Bazilo grew up in a Ugandan refugee camp trying to avoid the Lord's Resistance Army soldiers who attack and kidnap children as they walk to and from school in order to "recruit" them to join the army.

The Roadies visit to JMU kicks off several events to generate buzz for May's Senior Convocation. IC's co-founder, Laren Poole, will be the keynote speaker at the Senior Convocation, May 5, at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center.

In addition to "Tony," JMU plans to screen other IC documentaries in April. JMU's IC Club and the Student Government Association will sponsor "25" on April 25. For 25 hours, participating students will be silent to raise money for the Invisible Children Protection Plan that brings life-saving communication and rehabilitation projects to the victims in Uganda.
