Location: Wine-Price Building
Session: 2 of 2
Description: The fear of public speaking, or glossophobia, is the most common phobia reported – ranking ahead of spiders, death, and even heights! In fact, research shows that glossophobia may affect up to 75% of the population.
But there is hope.
And hope comes in the form of practice.
In this 2-part workshop, we will first discuss the best practices of giving effective presentations. Then... take a deep breath... you will have the opportunity to put this new knowledge into practice by giving a short presentation to the other attendees.
Rest assured, the crowd will be small, and the snacks will be plentiful - all in an effort to create a safe, supportive environment for you to practice overcoming a fear that is known to many.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the brain science behind the fear of public speaking.
- Apply presentation best practices.
- Practice presentation skills.
