In this multi-session institute, participants will develop skills for intentionally designing and implementing instructional strategies to support inclusive learning environments for a diverse student body. The concepts, tools, research, insights, and materials covered in the institute will help participants integrate justice, inclusion, diversity, equity, and access practices into their teaching.
Participants will reflect on and experience a range of learning activities, including exploring personal identity, unpacking privilege, and engaging with ways to welcome and leverage differences for the benefit of all learners. By the end of the institute, participants will have gained foundational knowledge to continue their own journeys toward inclusive teaching and to cultivate communities committed to inclusive practices.
