Faculty Writing Studio (In- Person Community)

Many JMU faculty have found it challenging to balance their teaching responsibilities with their core responsibilities of scholarship/research/creative endeavors. During the academic year the demands of teaching and service are intense and scholarship gets placed on the backburner. Need the space and time, and accountability to advance or complete that research, writing, or creative project? Join colleagues, who after a brief check-in with facilitators, will be independently working in a common space. At the close of each session participants will check-out by sharing their short-term goals for their project. Leave with a sense of accomplishment, a clear sense of your next steps, and increased scholarly productivity.

Note: A CFI faculty associate will be available during the Faculty Writing Studio meetings for consultations. Additional scholarship consultations are available on an ongoing basis and may be requested by submitting a Scholarship Consultation Request.

The Faculty Writing Studio meets the following Tuesdays from 9am - 12pm: 2/28, 3/7, 3/21, 3/28, 4/4, 4/11, 4/18, 4/25 and 5/2. Further details about the event will be provided upon registration.

CFI programs will be canceled automatically if JMU is closed for inclement weather.
