Center for Faculty Innovation

Inclusive Teaching Institute (Online)

Wed, 8 Feb 2023 2:30 PM - Wed, 8 Mar 2023 4:00 PM

In this multi-session (online) institute, participants will have the opportunity to develop skills for intentionally designing and implementing instructional strategies to support inclusive learning environments for a diverse student body. The concepts, tools, research, insights, and materials covered in the institute will help participants integrate justice, inclusion, diversity, equity, and access practices into their teaching.

Participants will experience and consider a range of learning activities, including exploring personal identity, unpacking privilege, and creating accessible materials and activities for class, and they will engage with ways to welcome and leverage differences for the benefit of all learners.

By the end of the institute, participants will have gained foundational knowledge to continue their own journeys toward inclusive teaching and to cultivate communities committed to inclusive practices. Refer to the CFI Inclusive Teaching Institute webpage for more information about the the Institute and sample application questions.
