On October 29, Metals will host Visiting Artist, Joy Harvey.
Joy is sister to Maria Harvey, AD Madison Art Collection and AP Art History.
Joy Harvey is an Italian trained goldsmith, and one of three inaugural 'Artisans in Residence' at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Learn more about Joy at her website and on Instagram.
Joy also works on sustainability. She is B Corp certified, and she co-founded a small NGO Truly Precious focusing on responsible supply chains.
Joy will be focusing on metalsmithing, on the conceptual side of art jewelry, finding your voice, getting into museums, galleries, grants, etc, and having an organic conversation with the students. She will also bring some of her work to show the students.
