The Women's Resource Center is dedicated to the education and empowerment of our community by supporting and celebrating the diversity of women. |
|
HISTORY
The Center began in 1991 as a department within the University Health Center. Throughout its history, the WRC has provided a forum for discussion of women's issues in the JMU community and society.
The Center continues to expand as more students, faculty, and staff become involved. This website is designed to give an overview of the Center's main activities and services. At any given time, the Center may have a new event planned which can be found on the calendar or stop by Warren 404 any time for information about upcoming programs and events.
We believe the Women's Resource Center can serve as an important part of the collegiate experience. All women and men are invited to volunteer, attend and participate in the variety of enhancing activities provided by the Center each year.
