The 2009 Part-Time Job Fair Registration Information

Local Employers may post part-time job opportunities on our website for FREE through the JMU Off-Campus Part-Time Job Program.

In order to assist our students with finding part-time job opportunities to support the growing cost of tuition, the Student Work Experience Center posts off-campus part-time jobs on our Job Announcement Website. This is a free service we offer to the local Harrisonburg community. Students will view the positions on the Off-Campus Job Announcement Website and contact you directly. We do not place students in jobs! Please review the following information before you post a part-time position.

If you are seeking JMU graduates for full-time employment, please visit the Career & Academic Planning department.

To post a position, follow these easy steps:

  1. Fill out the Job Posting Form to post your opportunity on the Off Campus Job Announcement Website
  2. Hire JMU students
  3. Fill out this Remove Job Form to remove your job posting from the Off Campus Job Announcement Website or the position will automatically be removed after 4 weeks.

What we'll require from you:

  • Number of student's hired
  • Start date
  • Pay rate
  • The approximate number of hours per week the student works

We do not post the following types of positions:

  • Full-time positions
*There is an exception during Winter and Summer school breaks*
  • Positions that require a college degree
  • Positions that require an initial investment
  • Positions that are payed solely through commission

**Please note that the Student Employment website only posts part-time jobs. If you are interested in posting a full-time job or internship outside the Harrisonburg/Rockingham County area, then please visit the Career and Academic Planning website
