Kenya Summer Program

Eligibility and Deadlines

 

This program is open to anyone interested in studying abroad in Kenya.

 

Applications must include:

1) the standard OIP form -- go to: http://www.jmu.edu/international/abroad/forms.shtml

2) a brief essay (no more than two typed pages) explaining your interests in this particular program, as well as one or more possible topics to pursue for your guided field project

3) a letter of recommendation from one of your professors

4) a copy of your transcript (if you are a JMU student, this can be printed directly from ECAMPUS)

 

Early application deadline: 15 November 2005

 

Final Application deadline: 1 February 2006

 

Spaces are limited.

Costs

 

The program fee for summer 2006 is $2,900, which includes all housing, all meals, and all program-related excursions in Kenya. 

 

Additional costs (costs NOT included in the $2,900) include tuition, airfare, immunizations, passport and visa fees, and spending money. 

 

A non-refundable deposit of $400 is required upon acceptance.
