As the Chemistry Coordinator, Mary splits her time between tutoring in the Science and Math Learning Center and teaching in the Department of Chemistry. She is passionate about helping students develop an appreciation for chemistry and succeed throughout their educational journey at JMU. In her free time, she is active supporter of greyhound rescue and enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys.
As Mathematics Coordinator, Jason teaches introductory mathematics and statistics courses, tutors in the SMLC, and supervises the math and statistics tutors. Jason has been teaching college math courses since 2003 and wants all students to develop mathematical confidence and understand the power, beauty, and history of the subject. His mathematical interests are Number Theory (especially Algebraic and Computational aspects), History of Mathematics, and Math Education. Besides mathematics, Jason enjoys running marathons, spending time with his wife and dog, and following European soccer (particularly Arsenal).
