JMU Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships

JMU Foundation Scholarships Awarded by Financial Aid

For scholarships awarded by our office, you may review selection criteria.

Both academic merit and financial need may be factors in the selection process. To receive consideration for need-based scholarships, you must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in addition to the scholarship application. The first day you can submit your 2010-11 FAFSA is January 1, 2010, but you must file by March 1, 2010 to receive priority consideration for need-based assistance.

Important Dates for 2010-11:

  • FAFSA priority filing date: March 1, 2010
  • Notification of applicants: July 2010
Please note that your receipt of scholarship funds may reduce your eligibility for need-based financial aid.
