Dukes Vote works to encourage every JMU student to participate in our democracy through elections. As a student-led program devised and implemeted by the Democracy Fellows for the James Madison Center for Civic Engagement, Dukes Vote provides non-partisan student voter education through voter registration support for in-state and out-of-state students, hosting town hall meetings and candidate debates, compiling voter information guides, and innovative and engaging social media programming answering students' questions about candidates, ballot initiatives, and the voting process.
The Dukes Vote initiative also produces the Dukes Vote Podcast. For more information, visit the webpage.
The Madison Center and Dukes Vote are proud to make JMU a Voter Friendly Campus for three years running and recognized by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge as a GOLD campus for high levels of student voter rates and engagement.
