The graduate program in Educational Technology serves students who work in, or who intend to pursue careers in, K12, higher education, business and industry, and consulting.The program provides candidates with opportunities to explore and research emerging technologies for learning. Candidates in the program will discover effective ways to integrate these technologies in their chosen professional settings. Graduates will possess a broad and deep understanding of the practice of educational design and technology and will be well-prepared to be leaders in this field.
The Educational Technology master's and certificate programs are offered compeletely online. The university holds SACS accreditation and the College of Education holds CAEP accreditation. JMU is an institutional member of the Sloan Consortium, and the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB). These organizations promote high quality online courses and degree programs, and increased access for learners.
