College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

CLEP is a national program that offers students credit by computer-based examination. This allows students to have the opportunity to obtain recognition for achievement in specific college courses. ADP students are able to use course equivalents earned through passing scores on CLEP exams to fulfill general education requirements, as electives, or to meet prerequisite requirements for upper level courses. A full list of accepted CLEP tests can be found here.

ADP staff members administer CLEP exams at their offices in the Ice House, 127 W. Bruce St., Room 108, Harrisonburg, Virginia. The complete process for registering and scheduling can be found here.  Examination reservations are scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m.

For additional information visit the CLEP website at http://clep.collegeboard.org or contact the ADP office at 540-568-7633 or adp@jmu.edu.

Effective September 1, 2014, the administrative fee will be $30 per testing session.
