August is an exciting time at JMU and we are excited to welcome our newest dukes to campus and the community. Weeks of Welcome is a program designed to help students get acclimated to campus, learn all about the resources available to support their success, and connect with other new students, faculty, staff, and administrators. There will be a variety of mandatory educational programs and optional social programs throughout the first few weeks of the semester. An overview of what to expect is below, and the full schedule is now available on the JMU BeInvolved app. The JMU Be Involved app is available in both the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
Your Weeks of Welcome experience will begin with either move-in or Commuter Check-In. On-Campus students will connect with their FROG during WOW 101 following your community meeting with your RA. Community meetings will be at 7:00pm in your residence hall, and the FROG meeting will begin at 8:00pm outside of your residence hall. Commuter students will meet their FROG following the check-in on Saturday, August 16, at 5:30pm in the Festival Conference and Student Center. Below is an overview of what you can expect from your Weeks of Welcome experience!
